Regional extent

This Fm is developed in Shan North Plateau. For the sake of convenience in this description, we consider here that the Dolomitic Limestone Unit Fm is equivalent to the combined Thitsipin and Nwabangyi Fms, Amos (1975).

Fossils

Contains a peculiar miliolid–smaller foraminifer association of Shanita–Hemigordiopsis fauna.


Age 

this unit can be assigned to the Middle Triassic (Anisian), and may range up possibly to the Late Triassic (Carnian).
